hanami, sakura and spring
Lately in japan, spring has already came with blossoming of sakura (桜) - cherry blossoms. In japan, the tradition of hanami (flower viewing花見) has been kept since the nara period of years 710-794. What they basically do is, when you notice the sakura is out and blossoming, everyone would go to places like ueno kouen (ueno park) and find a place to sit, where you can view the sakura well and bring some food and munch in.
like this picture taken at kita area, near ouji station
and amazing! the entire river at takinogawa was covered with cherry blossoms! beautiful
